Teamwork

During week one, apart from a thorough introduction into the new term and module, Professor Mitchell’s site on teamwork was read, absorbed for analysis, and discussed as a team.  Post to usual lab execution, the material was reviewed individually by each team member throughout the week since each member is required to document each week or each lab’s news and possible progress, along with the reading and reviewing of the material given in class.
Group conclusions indicated that group 7 from section 35 will most likely not have many – if any – issues at all in-between members for the remainder of this course or spring term.  A group conclusion drawn from the observation that all of the team members seemed moderately calm, sharing, thoughtful and open to new ideas, which is to many the main consideration of the key to successful projects coming from emerging ideas of the open minded, and therefore more easily inspired people.
Along with this observation, it was noticed and discussed that fortunately to the group’s advantage, the team as a whole appears to have a comfortably solid communication system and skills, which is essential for any type of situation where teamwork is needed and where space for respect, listening, and midpoint – along with maturely considerate – agreements are necessary for completion as well as any successful execution.

Teamwork

My teammates, Melissa and Ana, and I, have read the Teamwork website and discussed some key features.  We have decided that to work efficiently and effectively with a team it is important to take responsibility for our work and to be open with each other.  This project is very involved and all of us will need to be on top of our game in order to be successful in the end.  After discussing about our group, it was decided that it would work best if we just got to know each other and automatically had good attitudes about our project and group.

In past assignments, we have all experienced that partner who doesn’t listen to others or that doesn’t help with anything.  We discussed this and as three young mature ladies we decided to all be fair, listen to each other, not criticize anything before trying it, and to show respect for all teammates.  We determined that we really shouldn’t run into any problems that will affect our group work.  If any problem should arise, we feel that discussion should fix the problem.  Trial and error should solve any issues we have about design and as a last resort we could take a vote.

Overall, the three of us seemed to get along well when we met each other.  We all know that we have to be responsible and contribute equally to our group.  We should have no problem behaving as a team during this project.
